Jonny Petrowske is a fourth generation resident of Waskish and the shores

of Upper Red Lake. In 1906 the Petrowske family arrived on Upper Red Lake and since that day the small Petrowske family has worked as commercial fishermen, guides, state trappers, resort owners, bait dealers and outdoorsmen learning every inch of non-reservation Upper Red Lake and the surrounding area. Those 100 plus years of knowledge and experience have been passed down through the generations to Jonny P.

The Petrowske family has been on Upper Red Lake since the time of rental row boats and a dozen minnows for three bits, they did not show up with the crappie boom. They have seen great fishing and some very tough fishing through the years such as the dark days of the walleye crash but they have always prevailed no matter how tough the going was.
